While at home freelancing and raising two preschoolers, I felt a strong urge to find a Dallas organization that would benefit from pro bono writing time. I wanted to give back to my community in a way that would enhance my kids' futures. I sought out the marketing department of the Museum of Nature and Science, and they put me to work. I wrote all of the copy for their new website promoting the 2012 opening of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
Topics ranged from building information, program details, donor recognition, and promotional copy for fundraising components. The Museum had massive amounts of content from multiple sources, and I gave the copy one fluid voice to urge the Dallas community to “Help Build the Perot.” All of my time was donated.
